I walked 17,985 steps today.
Today was a content day.
I left my home at 8:41 AM with my Frenchie Theo and returned at the exact moment, 3:17 PM, when my “pick up kids from school” alarm went off. I filmed 221 videos and took 118 photos. I brainstormed 17 reels to record and hoped to make it to many more places than the time allowed.
It was a successful content day.
But why do I film so much content?
Well, if you know me, you know the answer. But for those that don’t, I film massive amounts of content to attract my dream clients. The justness of the story is that my content works 24/7, so I don’t have to.
I post all different types of content. Blog posts, social media posts, YouTube videos, Pinterest Pins, and Instagram Reels are my go-to media formats. Today, we posted over 120 blog posts! Eeeek. *Jo goes to look at her blog stats.* We have posted 8006 blog posts in the last four years, with 549 this month. Yes, this makes my head spin too. Lol.
Now I want to look at my YouTube stats… In April, I have uploaded 37 long-form YouTube videos and 50 short-form videos.
But back to the topic at hand, content is why I walked nearly 18,000 steps today. Have I shown you my new and improved posting schedule yet?
Before Saturday, I had an assistant posting twice a day. A few weeks ago, I became more attentive to our Instagram and noticed she often posted 2 reels between 10 PM and 1 AM each evening, which differed from the content plan.
But since I knew her last day was upon us (she had notified me that they were moving back home and, therefore, quitting), I didn’t say anything to rock the boat. I wanted the transition from having her to not having her go as smoothly as possible. So, instead of changing her posting habits, I created some of my own.
I began posting around breakfast and lunch, hoping to counter the two late-night posts. Saturday was her last day. Sunday evening I decided to post every 3 hours during peak times when my followers were active on Instagram. You can see this new schedule above.
Today was day three of this posting schedule, so I don’t have much to report back besides the fact that I have concluded that Instagram gives you a little kickback whenever you change your posting habits, so yes, we see lower-than-normal numbers.
I have hired a new licensed assistant who doesn’t have experience making reels. She does one post a day, and I carry the load of the others. I love it.
Creating content is my favorite thing to do. I don’t think I have perfected it, but I am here doing it and proud of myself.
Do you post content?
With love, Jo.
