Now she writes.

When I tell you that I am awaking with new words falling out of me, it is the truth.

Yesterday I took a nap because I was abnormally exhausted, and I woke up with one word on my tongue, “nourishment.”

That one word grew to “logevity,” a word that should be seen as one piece of the puzzle.

Yesterday I sat down to my paper to rework my frame work, and once completed, I sat down to the computer to write a blog post. And what came out was so much greater. What came out I called my first speech, but before I could hit submit/publish, I felt hesitation. This is a 22 minute blog post, and I heard, “Jordan, this isn’t your blog post of the evening or morning; Jordan this is the first section of your book.”

So today, instead of sharing the 5636 words I wrote that I hope to fill 25 pages of my first published book, I wanted to share with you what I think you must have, believe, and so to obtain a life of happiness and peace through aligning your brain and your heart.

I think you must have wholeness, believe in self efficacy, and do intentional reaching for your highest potential.

These are the three principals that I think we all must possess to be happy and at peace.

Why? — You might ask.

Wholeness represents the integrated state we seek, where our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves are all nourished and working in harmony. It’s about pursuing balance and well-being across all domains of your life. Wholeness provides the solid foundation from which you can operate at your highest level.

However, wholeness alone is not enough. You must also cultivate an unwavering belief in your own capabilities — this is self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is having that deep-seated confidence in your ability to set goals, persevere through challenges, and ultimately achieve what you set out to accomplish. It’s the fuel that propels you forward even when the road gets rocky.

With wholeness providing resourcefulness and self-efficacy providing resilience, you can then commit to intentionally reaching for your highest potential. This is where the rubber meets the road. It’s taking purposeful action every day, embracing a growth mindset, and pushing your own limits. It’s letting go of self-imposed limitations and nurturing the courage to create the extraordinary life your heart knows is possible. This is what eliminates the excuses. (The thought I went to bed with last night.)

These three principals of wholeness, self-efficacy and intentionally reaching comprise the core pillars for achieving happiness and peace by harmonizing your brain’s wisdom with your heart’s deepest truth. They are inextricably linked and reinforce each other in an upward spiral of flourishing.

The journey begins with wholeness — caring for your entire being so you have the reserves to thrive. Self-efficacy then provides the determination to keep going even when faced with obstacles. Finally, intentionally reaching for your highest potential translates your efforts into a life of profound meaning, joy and ever-expanding possibilities.

What are you running toward, or what are you running away from?

Instead of running, can we please walk toward our destiny?

The only difference between to the ones rising to the top, and the ones feeling stuck, is that the ones rising are asking the right questions.

And the foreshadowing lays in the answers.

What questions are you asking yourself?

With love, Jo
